You Could Be My It Girl

Outfit of The Day

 Leather Jacket - Motel Rocks
T-shirt - ASOS (Mango)
Leggings - ASOS (Warehouse)
Ring - Accesorize
Watch - Urban Outfitters
Earrings (Sorry for lack of close-up!) - Miss Selfridge

I know you are probably already judging me for owning a t-shirt with "it girl" written on it but I just loved it so HAD to have it! So many people at college asked what an it girl was an I awkwardly had to explain; this has resulted in the nickname "it girl" (brilliant). The leggings were the ones that were supposed to come with my ASOS order (well almost) and I love them! They make a college outfit just that bit more exciting :)

Sorry for the slow posting recently, been so busy with college and work among other things but it's the Easter holidays now so in between revision I'll do a bit of cheeky posting.

Speak soon!

An Order with a Tale...

A Small ASOS Order

Bracelet - £8 (also comes in silver, dark grey and rose gold)
T-shirt - £8.99 (Mango)
Crop Top - £5

Along with this order comes a little story so grab yourself a cuppa (its not that long but who doesn't love a hot drink on a cold day like this anyway?)

So I ordered this little package of goodies about a week and a half ago whilst spending a late night on that addictive internet shopping part of the world wide web, and I received an email on the Saturday saying my parcel had been dispatched. Obviously, nothing happens in terms of postage on a Sunday so I thought it would arrive by mid-week. Alas, this was not the case and I waited patiently for it and by Friday afternoon it still hadn't arrived!

Being me, I emailed ASOS customer care as I have never had a problem with their standard delivery before. I checked the delivery status on my ASOS account and it seemed to have been lost in transit between the warehouse and the courier... There had also been some delivery issues near my postcode but not mine so there was no excuse really.

Having said all that, the customer care team were excellent and replied really quickly. They got my parcel re-sent out straight away and I received it this morning (Saturday) and at no extra cost to me which is brilliant. The only annoying part is that I had actually ordered some leggings with little studs on them but since then, they had sold out! However, there's a pair of them floating about in the postal system in my size along with my other 'missing' items (sigh).

This has been rectified though as the ASOS customer care team hit me up with a 10% discount code to say sorry and refunded the price of the leggings to me. I have since ordered some very very similar ones (these) and although still £16 with my discount code (double the price of the original ones) I am pleased with them :)

And after all of that faff, this is where I've ended up! I really like all of the items but the fact that the t-shirt isn't hemmed on the bottom or the sleeves makes me a little sad as I hate when that kind of stretchy cotton rolls up; hopefully I can solve that with some sneaky sewing by moi!

Anyways, I better round this off as its turning into a bit of a saga rather than a fashion post! Make sure you keep checking back here for more or maybe a cheeky follow to stay even more in touch.

See ya!

Time To Say Goodbye...

Outfit of the Evening

Tunic/Top - Topshop
Skirt - Topshop
Watch - Casio (Urban Outfitters)
Necklace - Topshop
Leather Jacket - Motel Rocks

Tonight was one of my bosses leaving meals and although it was sad to see such an amazing, funny and brilliant person go it also gave me a chance to dress up a bit! There is a bit of a recurring theme with the Topshop clothing and I honestly wish that was for some sort of sponsored reason but alas, its because I didn't realise until half-way through getting ready and I couldn't be bothered to change...

P.S. We went to Wagamamas and even after tonight, I am yet to try the chicken catsu curry, WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?!

Welcome!

Hey there and welcome to Un Peu de la Mode!

My name's Nancy and I'm 17 years young with an passion for fashion! Oh and by the way, as much as I wish I was French and possessed the ability to speak 'the language of love', I'm not; I can just use Google Translate when required... I'm from dreary South East England and am currently studying Geography, Media Studies, English Language and Dance A Level.

I have started this blog as an attempt to document the outfits I put together throughout the year and maybe spark some inspiration in one of you reading! My dream job would be working in Fashion Journalism and this is a brilliant way, in my opinion, to get started.

I have no clue if this blog will get any sort of interest but at least I can say I've tried! Whenever I have started a blog before, its usually deleted before you can say does my bum look big in this...

Anyways, I hope that if you've stumbled across this on a late night internet browsing session or even a day time one that you stick with me and click that little follow button to the right.

I am planning to upload at least once a week with some sort of outfit of the day, styling idea, trend focus or whatever I feel like, it is a free country after all!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you all again soon :)

P.S. This was my new years outfit and yes, that is my natural frizz ball curlified hair!
